Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Ask Yogi Universe, LLC · For residents of Washington, Nevada and Connecticut · Last updated: October 29, 2026

This notice supplements our Privacy Policy. It is written for residents of Washington State, under the My Health My Data Act, Nevada, under Senate Bill 370, and Connecticut, whose privacy law contains comparable provisions about consumer health data. If you live elsewhere, our main Privacy Policy covers you; nothing here takes away any right you have under it.

1. The short answer

ASK YOGI UNIVERSE DOES NOT COLLECT CONSUMER HEALTH DATA. WE DO NOT COLLECT, USE, SHARE OR SELL ANY INFORMATION IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY, MEASURE, DIAGNOSE, ASSESS OR INFER ANY PERSON’S PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE PHYSICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH STATUS.

We publish this notice anyway, because "consumer health data" is defined very broadly in these laws — broadly enough to include inferences drawn from information that is not itself health information — and because our app produces content on the theme of health and wellbeing. We want to be completely clear about what that content is and what it is not.

2. Why an astrology app addresses this at all

Ask Yogi Universe produces horoscopes, readings and remedies across a range of life themes, and one of those themes is health and wellbeing. A reading might mention energy, rest, vitality or wellbeing in general terms.

That content is astrological interpretation of your date, time and place of birth. It is entertainment. It is not scientific, is not based on any information about your body, your mind, your medical history or your medical care, and must not be treated as fact. Specifically:

  • It is not a diagnosis, screening, assessment or measurement of anything about your health.

  • It is not an inference about your health status. We do not analyse anything you tell us in order to work out whether you are healthy or unwell, and we do not record, store or share any conclusion about your health.

  • It is not derived from health information, because we do not hold any. It is derived from your birth details and nothing else.

  • It is not used to target you. We do not use any health-themed content, or anything you say in the app, for advertising, profiling, or to decide what to sell you.

A statement in a reading that touches on health is produced the same way as a statement about your career or your travel: by applying astrological rules to your birth chart. It says nothing about your actual health, and we draw no conclusions from it.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect, and the App has no feature for collecting:

  • medical conditions, diagnoses, symptoms, treatments or medications

  • medical or clinical history, or records from any health care provider

  • measurements of bodily functions, vital signs or biometrics of any kind

  • reproductive or sexual health information

  • mental or behavioural health information, including therapy or counselling information

  • gender-affirming care information

  • genetic or biological samples or data

  • information about health care you have sought, received or paid for

  • precise location, which could reveal a visit to a health care facility — our location data is city level only, as Section 3.3 of our Privacy Policy explains

We run no face detection, facial recognition, voice identification or other biometric analysis on any photo or recording you give us.

4. What we do collect, and why none of it is health data

Our Privacy Policy sets out everything we collect. In summary: your email address and a name or nickname; your date, time and place of birth and optionally your gender; your AI chat messages and voice note transcripts; a profile photo if you set one; your approximate city, if you allow it, used only to calculate astrological timings; purchase records; and technical data such as your IP address and device identifier.

Your date of birth is not health data. We use it to calculate an astrological chart. We do not use it to estimate life expectancy, assess risk, or infer anything about your physical or mental condition.

Your city is not health data. It is approximate, it is used only to time your readings correctly, and it is never precise enough to indicate that you visited any particular place, including a health care facility.

5. The one thing we ask of you

The AI chat is a free text box, and we cannot control what you type into it. Some people do type things about their health. Please do not.

If you do, we are not using it as health data: we do not analyse it to infer anything about your health, we do not add it to any health profile, and we do not share it for advertising or profiling. It is stored with the rest of your chat content and deleted on the schedule in Section 9 of our Privacy Policy, and — as that Policy explains — your chat may be sent to a third-party AI provider as fallback or overflow. You can delete a message, or your whole account, at any time.

If you have a health question, please speak to a doctor or another qualified professional. Nothing in Ask Yogi Universe is medical advice, and it is never a substitute for care.

6. We do not sell it

We do not sell consumer health data, and we never have. We do not sell or rent any personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we use no third-party advertising networks in the App. Because we do not sell consumer health data, we have no need to ask you for the written authorization that Washington law would require before such a sale, and we will not ask you for one.

7. Who we share information with

Section 6 of our Privacy Policy lists every category of company we share information with, and why. In summary: cloud hosting, payment processing and app distribution, subscription management, third-party AI providers as fallback or overflow, speech and text-to-speech services, analytics and crash reporting, and email and support tools.

None of them receives consumer health data, because we hold none. We do not share any information with a data broker, an advertising network, a health care provider, an insurer, an employer, or anyone who would use it to assess your health.

We disclose information to a government authority only where we are legally compelled, as Section 14 of our Privacy Policy explains.

8. No geofencing

We do not operate a geofence of any kind. We do not use a virtual boundary around any health care facility, or anywhere else, to identify you, to track you, to send you a message or advertisement, or to collect information about you. Our location data is city level and is used solely to calculate astrological timings.

9. Your rights

If you live in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut you may:

  • confirm whether we collect, share or sell any consumer health data about you — the answer will be that we do not;

  • access the personal information we hold about you, and get a list of the categories of third party we have shared it with;

  • delete your personal information, including all of your chat content;

  • withdraw any consent you have given, including the location permission and your consent to AI processing; and

  • appeal if we refuse a request — reply to our decision and a person not involved in it will review it. If we refuse the appeal, you may complain to your state attorney general.

To exercise any of these, email support@askyogi.com and say what you want. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the time your state’s law allows, and we may ask you to confirm a detail we already hold so that we know it is really you. A deletion request covering health-related content is honoured in full, including any copy held by our service providers, except where the law requires us to keep a record. We will never charge you or treat you worse for making a request.
